Argos Java Security Error

This article discusses how to resolve the Java security error pop-up issue when attempting to use Argos.

Problem

Customers may experience an application blocking pop-up when attempting to use Argos.

Cause

A recent Windows Update to those users with Windows 10 may result in a problem with Argos as shown below.

Resolution

• Go to Control Panel
• Click Java to open the Java Control Panel
• Go to the Security tab
• Click the Edit Site List button near the bottom right
• Click the Add button
• Type https://maps.volstate.edu
• Click the OK button to accept and close that window
• Click the OK button to close the Java Control Panel
• Select both checkboxes below for I accept the risk and want to run this application and Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above.
